Main Street Memory Café

The foundation’s signature event, the Main Street Memory Café is an innovative — and FREE — program for people experiencing the early stages of diminished memory capacity, and their care partners. It serves as a safe and comfortable space where participants can socialize, listen to music, play games, participate in fun activities and enjoy a healthy snack. Space is limited.

COURAGEOUS
CONVERSATIONS

Being a caregiver is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires compassion, resilience, and effective communication skills. One approach that has been instrumental in supporting caregivers is our “Courageous Conversations.” This methodology focuses on fostering open, honest, and meaningful dialogues between caregivers and their loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias. Let’s delve into how Courageous Conversations empower caregivers and enhance the quality of care provided.

Art in Mind

Designed for people with early-onset Alzheimer’s or dementia and a companion, this free program strengthens social, emotional and spiritual bonds by engaging with art. We partner with the Foundry Art Centre to provide meaningful art-centered activities that create positive emotional and cognitive experiences, enhance verbal and non-verbal communication, reduce isolation and build community. Check our monthly calendar for dates and times.
